Snowmobile Heaven
November 6, 2008 by storeman
I'm looking on in envy today at those lucky Canadians that live with traveling distance of the Whistler mountain resort.
A report today in the Whistler Question uncovers the anticipation of the new snowmobile season as the snow line begins to creep down the mountainside.
Now I've had the good fortune to visit Whistler during the summer months and would count it as one of the most beautiful places on earth. Where better to snowmobile? What's more there are two top local clubs - the Powder Mountain Snowmobile and Outdoor Recreation Club and the Pemberton Valley Snowmobile and Recreation Club with both having access to the Pemberton Icefield.
What really excites me about these clubs is the access improvements that have been made and the fact that you can join the Powder Mountain Club at a cost of $100 (I'll assume that's Canadian) including trail fees!
Wow, I feel like emigrating. My mothers mother was Canadian so do you think they'll let me in?
Read more at the Whistler Question and thank you guys for making my day. I've just been on a fabulous imaginary journey on which I hope, one day, to join you all for real.
If you live in the area make contact and see if they'll help you get a feel for the snowmobiling experience of a lifetime.
